Its really shocking to see the devastating after effects of the Haiti earth quake.
Even before recovering from last weeks shock, they were hit by another one today...
Request anyone who reads this to donate generously to Haiti victims in what ever way they can. No amount is small amount and even a penny or rupee can help them feed their hunger..
I sincerely hope that they recover fast from this horrendous misfortune.

2010 after a year that has gone by..2009
I wish all my friends a happy new year.
Its been a long time since I updated my blog. I havn't really updated my blog for more than an year now.everytime I update my blog i feel like i should do it every day :)....
2009 a Year gone by....
Positives:
I should say 2009 by far is the most exciting year of my life till date...started with me in ayyappa deeksha and ended with me partying in times sq with my frnds...
Covered all seasons of Dexter, Californication ,How I met your mother,Big Bang Theory..
I was in Boston for more than 9 months and really enjoyed working there in one of the complex projects in our company. The project is completed successfully now and I am back in vacation mode :)
Got settled in US, bought a new car(My first liability) here Mazda 3i 2010 on my B'day as a gift to myself :D and driven more than 1000 miles in less than a week.
Setbacks:
hmm.. I have emotional setback but now I am back to normalcy, thanks to my childish attitude and beers :D
Looking forward for 2010.
Well for now I am staying in SFO for 2-3 weeks on business purpose and then might work in Chicago, New Jersey, Boston or Phily(Will get to know next week)...
Started watching south park(Everyone should cover this series... hands down to the author...)
I have been to the 17 mile drive on the first week end of the new yr..It's the most romantic drive that one can have..just that i do not have a gf with me( Driving alone watching couples is the next best romantic thing..:D)..Will drive again as a couple next time for sure...
Resolutions:
I have to gain weight this yr no matter what..thats it...damn u..sick of hearing that i am skinny...

DJango comments.....
OK...
Well of late I have starting on Django to develop a website .
Everything went well till we came to a point where in we got to use the comments module and tell you its such a pain in the ass to find a good tutorial which will explain how to use Django comments.
After struggling for a bit I could learn how to use it though.
As a developer I would like to learn by seeing some realtime examples and unfortunately there are not many good sites explaining the usage of Comments module of Django.
So I decided to write one on my blog for the benefit of those who want to learn Django Comments.
In this blog I will be explaining how to use the Free comments module of Django.
Ofcourse some or most if it is from the official djangosite www.djangoProject.com
I will be explaining the use of ratings in the coming blogs.I assume you have got the basic knowledge on Djando to build the app, run the server and syncdb.
Ok lets start building the movies app with comments.
In this exapmple we will be developing a movie application where in we will be displaying all the theatres the movie is played . and when the user clicks on the individual movie link the movie detail page is displayed where the user is allowed to post comment
the application is named movies.

Also, please dunt foget to read the basics from the official django site http://code.djangoproject.com/wiki/UsingFreeComment.

1 week to go.........
The decision has been made... and I joined a s/w company in Hyd.
The initial days at the company have been wonderful.No work :) was assigned to me yet ,thanks to the training programs that were being held.
And i will be flying to US this week end. that's pretty cool :).
This will be my first experience of working directly with the client in the client location.Work apart, me enjoying with every thought of being on land of opportunities and hoping to have a lot of fun. Also, heard that a beer can is cheaper than a water bottle[:P]
This month is full of surprises with lots of my B'Tech memories, some expectedly and some unexpectedly coming back to me...Believe me guys the world is a very small place and you keep meeting people again both and again and again, no matter you like or not..
I will update the blog once I land in US.

When everything falls on your plate at once.
Its been a while since I updated my blog.....
I must say that lot of things are happening at this point of time when I decided to change my current job profile.
As I stated in my previous post I planned to do MS course this fall and applied for UNI's.
I got admit from most of the Uni's that I applied, but did not get any sort of AID.
Since I havn't received any sort of aid I decided to test my luck in INDIA and started aplying for better jobs here.
Motto behind applying for Job: Lets not spend money when I am capable of earning :).....
Now I got couple of good offers one in Hyd, one from Pune etc...
One fine morning to my surprise I got a call from Uni saying I got the Graduate Assistantship for MS-MIS course that too in Las Vegas :).
hmmmmmm.....
All the offers seem to be tempting and the most difficult part is to choose one that best benifits me rite?
So me still in the process of choosing one and will update you on the decision is made.

Thats how i am till 2006.
Currently i am working as a software developer and i am enjoying every part of developer life coz i know i will not be a developer after 2007.
I know you guys must also have many resolutions for new year and i have mine too.Here are a few
1. Quit smoking .
2. Increase boozing.
lol apart from those major two i plan to do channelize my carreer path as i am seriously considering a career shift.
I Will join MS in MIS course in 2007 Fall and focus on management of software related projects (mostly related to consulting.).
Last but not least the most important of them all,
My friend chundi has got some big plans and i will put most of my effort on implementing his palns and making them a success.
In 2006 we started our first website www.irani-chai.com.
need less to say i was a lazy bugger and chundi did most of the stuff (my contribution is around 1%).
I would like to change that in 2007 and I am planning to concentrate on a completely new career path.
I hope 2007 will be a challenging year for me and i am very much ready to take the challenge.
Lastly there are coulple of blogs already created by me ,but this should be the ultimatum.
I am planning to update this blog twice a week.
It will be entertaining both for you and me , and also will be a kind of reminder to me for implenmenting my new resolutions.
